  1. 2012 Mr Olympia Web Stream

As the Olympia is coming up does anyone know of a live web stream of the show other than Bodybuilding.com? Last year the quality and speed of the bodybuilding.com's web stream was slow possibly because of all the traffic on the site (not sure don't really know much about computers). Will be interesting to see want Phil brings to the stage and Branch after his injury a few months ago..
  2. Game Changers

Anyone see the documentary on Netflix's ? Rather biased towards plant based, but still interesting especially around inflammation from animal proteins and influence on blood properties. Anyone with medical background to challenge findings from the information they presented in the documentary ?
  3. Idle ramblings and observations.

    Where’s your finger ?
  4. Best power bar and maybe deadlift bar

I've used this in a world powerlifting meet, was a decent bar and really affordable
  5. Should come to the Tron for a beer mate!
  6. Game Changers

Interesting the statement about sugars and fruits, I'm assuming the fruits and berries higher in fiber have less influence on release of insulin ? A balance is what I am going for, I have significantly reduced animal protein consumption to only make up about 20-30% for my daily calorific intake the remainder from plant based sources. Vegans are extremist activist, this is why I refer to it as plant based to avoid the association.
  7. Game Changers

About to expand a little ? Ive done a plant based diet for about 6 months a couple years ago and recently started a flexible type of plant based diet. I believe I was consuming far to much animal proteins previously... as most young athletes do.
  8. Just another meathead

Such low volume, is this how much volume you would have in a typical workout?

Mark Bells - Strength Training channel on the YouTubes is doing a Sarms series might be worth looking at... Maybe be a one sided argument though (conflict of interest)
  10. steroids within new zealand

    That you Marty...
  11. Training with Cirque du Soleil

Nicely put together Andrew. But did you get her number ?
  12. Bad UGL gear (Colombia)

This is why anabolics should be legalized to squash the underground market and allow these medicines to be regulated. No sane person would inject bacteria deep into tissue but that is the risk you take every time you use these unregulated medicines.
  13. Grip Sport

I’ve also started some grip training over the past few months closing the COC #3 is impressive. Ive made some implements like the hub and rolling thunder as it’s expensive to get them in NZ.
  14. Powerlifting Gym in Christchurch

Fitness Canterbury is no good the bars and plates are rubbish not to mention squat racks and benches. Its OK for bodybuilding type workouts
  15. Lame reason to lift...??

If your been together for 14 years who cares.. Obviously your interests are else where in terms of sport, weightlifting will only hinder performance of these interests. Or do you feel insecure in your relationship? If so its probably not healthy, hottie or not.
  16. So no more retarded advertisement with Andy ? Great! I'm not sure who the players are anymore there used to be a few. My old go to was bodybuilding.co.nz which seems to be run through nutratech now. I just purchase by vegan friendly supplements from a local store now.
  17. maccaz 2018 prep log

    Its 2018 bro...
  18. Best power bar and maybe deadlift bar

Samsfitness won't ship to NZ. Will that YouShop thing work for something like a barbell ?
  19. NZ Muscle Post & Photo of the Month competitions

Members be aging, priorities be changing...
  20. Finding Gyms while travelling

Whenever I travel I try find a hotel with a gym or one nearby then you can get a quick workout in daily, otherwise you spend to much time that would be otherwise be better spent sight seeing and enjoying the destination. I struggled in Europe with finding gyms nearby so just skipped training most days and focused on mobility. America isn't to bad but typically a bit of travel time to and from. Most hotels don't have gyms. SE asia was awesome for hotel gyms and gyms in general but that isn't going to help you...
  21. Best power bar and maybe deadlift bar

I would go with the rouge bar, I have used the USA force bar and the Valhalla bar both are nothing great. Ohio bar looks good haven’t used either though. I’m thinking about buying one but the duty is a c*nt and I emailed them asking if they can remove the Australian tax from the price but they won’t. So you have to pay both Australian and New Zealand tax on the bar plus shipping and an entry fee of like $50.. Texas power bar is terrible for squatting, far to whippy
  22. Thailand Vacation

Yup going diving at Phi Phi Island will be good. Will try get some quality photos like you do !
  23. Thailand Vacation

Heading abroad to SE Asia this weekend and looking for activities, restaurants etc that are recommended by others that have explored Thailand. First time visiting SE Asia trips in the past been to more developed countries (America, Europe, South America) Places visiting -Patong (3 days) -Karon (3 days) -Kata (3 days) -Phi phi (2 days) -Chiang Mai (5 days) Any ping pong shows recommended heard its definitely got to be on the list.
  24. Thailand Vacation

Was a bit odd, but not as odd as the sex show I seen in Europe though that was fucked lol. Bangla Road was off the chain, most intense party scene I’ve experienced. In Karon now then traveling north for the chilled out portion of the trip.
