  1. Coke Zero - Bad?

No problem with sweeteners. That myth has been debunked many times. People eat more because they get sweet cravings after drinking sweetened beverages and then just eat, meaning they are not controlling calorie intake. If you stay on your diet then you are 100% fine. I drink plenty of this stuff during off season and prep; I'm always the most conditioned guy on stage.
  2. JAGERLABS

Whats up guys? Hope everyone is well an smashing goals. I'm here to introduce a new pre workout and I want some members to review it for me. I will send a tub to 5 reviewers next month from Australia. About the THE HUNTER THIS IS A MODERATE STIMULANT WITH AN EXCEPTIONAL FOCUS. We have used an ingredient called "lupins" which is the star ingredient in this profile. It provides a nice energy with a fantastic focus. Anyway, I really want you guys to just try it and provide a review. The proof is in the pudding. Message me if your keen, I'll get back in contact with the reviewers Mathew Jones
  3. Been a long time

Thanks guys, can't believe how fast time goes. I'm living in Melbourne and have finished my Nutrition; exercise science degree. I'm working as a Sports Nutrition Advisor for a Pharmacy group. I'm thinking of changing from the WFF to the new IFBB class, and if so I'll be there in October
  4. long term Fat loss: just starting out

I have always found simplicity is key; and make sure you prep meals. Also, do look at the nutritional value of foods, not just Protein, Fats, and Carbs. you see, 50g carbs from sugar will have a totally different hormonal response than 50g of carb from sweet potato.
  5. Whats going on brothers of iron!!! It's been a long time since i have been on here but want to re-connect with all you NZ units......The pics attached were from my last show (June 2015) WFF International; should have gone for one of them WFF pro cards but I can just look in my Wheat Bix box and find one these days lol.
  6. He looks good but not that lean, he's not 9% bf he looks at least 11% if training in the evening how does the carbs at night last the whole day through a physical job and still give energy for workouts?
  7. what am i eating wrong?

What do reckon tomsammce, you always seemed to be pretty lean in off season, I would say your body could handle carbs better than mine. Are you a Meso not at all mate... when i was in 6th form at high school i was still playing 6th grade rugby (U53kg). i would say now thought that my body resembles a meso body type yes... i havnt really done alot of reading on the ecto, endo and meso body types, actually none specifically so my understanding of them is very minimal. i always eat 1 cup of oats per serving when i eat them, thats about 56g of carbs if your cup is 100gm, but i think techically a cup is around 90 something? i could be wrong. what im doing at the moment is for example if i have 4 cups of oats as my carbs i would eat 2 meals of 2 cups or 8 meals of 1/2cup and i dont believe it would make a difference in my body composition which ever way i did it.. i am currently cutting this way and finding it works great.. I would agree that carbs are one of the best carb sources, and you are cutting with a good amount of carbs and it works. But I believe it works for you because you are in a relative cal deficit and your carbs are spread through the day so your body burns food like a furnace, but only having one cup once a day this is way below what the body needs therefore is in starvation mode and will hold the carb. And when having a whole day of eating whatwever the body would act like it does post comp holds all the shit calories, I believe your body would handle a whole day much better and just boost your metabolism, as like i said your in a relative deficit not starving

  9. what am i eating wrong?

Depends on body type, but typically on endomorph that much carbs at one sitting will hinder fat loss add that with eating no carbs for rest I the day this is when you start holding these carbs as fat, as the body is in starvation mode. You have seen the condition I get I for shows and you don't get even close to shreaded having 1 cup oats i know by personal experience, for me 1/2 or 1/3 cup is sufficient as I have small amounts with each meal. Before a workout ok because you will utilize the energy but if you have only 1 cup of oats in the morning and none throughout the day your body will store the sugars from the carbs as its In starvation mode like I said early on in the post. I'm not being a smart ass I'm just speaking from experience with the countless bbng diets I have done and alot of research for my own info
  10. what am i eating wrong?

Having such low carbs and fat through the day will cause metabolism to slow right down, I suggest using small amounts of lo GI carbs throughout the day just oats in the morning is not enough. But 1 cup of oats at once is to much. I only have 2/3 cup oats in the morning and I'm 90kg being in absolute calorie deficit eg low/no carb turns your body into a fat storing machine. But if in a relative calorie deficit 400-500 cals under daily needs your body turns into a fat burning machine. Thats why people blow out post comp the body holds all fat and carbs because it's in starvation mode.
  11. do they really work?

As long as you don't rely on them, they are about 1/10 of a percent of your final result. The best bodybuilders i know only use basic supps protein, creatine, glutamine, and bcaa's
  12. WHY WON'T YOU EAT!!?

I tried going by the book which is about 4000 cals for me if i wanted to bulk, as soon as i did that i put on roughly 1kg a week so have backed it right down, it depends on how fat you are prepared to get and it may have something to do with post comp rebound And a shit load of that 1kg would prob be fat right? Since you're already pretty big im assuming you wouldn't be able to put anywhere near that much muscle on in a month let alone a week Yes mostly fat, thats why i backed off, but that shows it depends on your body type.

  14. WHY WON'T YOU EAT!!?

Very true greemah, i have a endomorph bodytype, since my last show when i was 83kg and now 97kg all i have changed is more carbs and i just keep putting weight on. if i eat 3000 or more cals i put fat on everyones body is different
  15. me posing 1st time properly

Good stuff man, i remember i was 69kg at my first show i was 18 and at the last show i competed in i was 83kg at 23 years old so in the next few years you should make massive gains, Just make sure you smash all the compound excersises Keep posting up progress pics to
