fitnessgirl20
Hey, I was just wondering what the recommended nut intake per day is? And what nuts are the healthiest? Eg. Not salted peanuts I'm guessing!!
cantygirl
Hi, yes I love nuts too unfortunately they are a high energy food so less is best. Rule of thumb for ladies is 1/4 cup roasted not salted varieties. Ive also read that brazils should be max of 3 per day.

I love nuts too, such a good snacking food.. oh really, I didn't know that about brazils but that makes sense as they do leave a bit of a 'powdery' taste in your mouth so I can't usually have a lot. Thanks once again
BigPauli
Do some research on Brazil nuts and selenium. They are the most bioavaliable form you can get. And 2 or 3 nuts a day are sufficient.
cantygirl
Yes I read that too, something about high dosages of radium if you consume too many, also I didn't realise that they can go rancid and that you should check them for uneven surface, bloody hell, gets abit OTT eh.
