BlackHulk
was an excellent comp it went very wellHow did you two gangsters go?Walid and Kalid performed magnificently as expected. Walid in particular showed tremendous courage in competing whilst carrying serious injuries and against medical advice (because he didn't want to disappoint the Uni Super team). The leading hands of NZ powerlifting were impressed chaps! Your potential is awesome.Well done on all your work with these "boys" in the past musclenz! BlackHulk
was an excellent comp it went very wellTa good buddy! A fantastic comp! BIG THANKS to:All the Uni Rec Centre staff and management for their great support and assistance.ANDAll spotters/loaders and officials, especially the many who travelled to Auckland from other Provincial Associations, so that a contest of this big a scale could be run in a single day. Impossible without you folks.ANDThe crowd for turning out in such large number and being so vociferous with their support.AND All lifters and their support people, for their wonderful dedication to the World's Strongest Sport. Some truly inspired lifting. National and World Records. Fantastic atmosphere - great crowd! The comp ran perfectly. Not a single error by loaders/spotters and main desk personnel (extremely rare for powerlifting comps).Biggest ever Auckland or Provincial Bench comp by number of participants. Experienced lifters and officials hailed it as easily the best Auckland/North Island Bench comp ever.Absolutely Phenomenal performance by the Auckland University Powerlifting Super Team. Big, big "ups" to the Auckland Uni Gym Powerlifting Program. The team is barely 3 years old and it won Golds and Silvers galore. All this in spite of some of the main men and women being unable to lift due to injury. You are officially the most successful single powerlifting team in New Zealand provincial powerlifting history. A fantastic crop of female and male lifters to take Auckland Powerlifting into the future. Bring on the nationals girls and boys!A report on lifting highlights and plenty of pics will follow...after I get some sleep - the gf and I have had a big night at a fantastic party, so sleep beckons... coming dear... Sam I told you not to squat 420 kg raw, but I know you will be back buddy! Here is Sam during the off season with Brian "Of Beef" Welsh.

Pseudonym
The rest of this topic has been removed.Apology to NZBB MembersPowerlifting was the loser on the day.On behalf of the CDPA, (Central Districts Powerlifting Association), and all other Powerlifters and Associations in New Zealand, I would like to apologise for conduct of certain members on this topic. This thread started with good intentions, with some of the smack talk that happens in gyms between rival associations which we all at some stage do.What eventuated from this thread has become an embarrassment to many lifters around the country and also overseas, as this thread was posted and debated hotly on a few Powerlifting forums, and on those forums these issues were taken in hand by senior members. These person's have been spoken to and as I understand apologise for their actions, which started with good intentions. As stated I would like to apologise for the way Powerlifting has been portrayed in this thread. This is not how we conduct ourselves, our talking is done on the Platform with 3 Referees. In StrengthWarren TrentSecretaryCDPAAKA Old Bull
