I was going to congratulate you in person but I was too busy yakking to some people when I saw you slip out the door. Hope you enjoyed the experience and once again, great effort

My husband is more supportive now he didnt understand what goes into a competion and training. He is into pig hunting and fishing ect. He says hes proud of me. He even said he had tears in his eyes when i came out on stage ( thats a big thing for any man to addmitt).Cheers

justy1
You guys aint going to believe this but i got a call from a plastic surgeon he wants to talk to me!. hmm could be interesting. Either way i'm going to compete again. Just waiting for dates for competitons, and my best friend is going to compete with me, she has a lot a of weight to drop - but its comming down. It will be her first comp and she will be fifty. Also my trainer is comming back from oz for our comp and he may compete with us. The gym I train at has been sold and the new owners reckon i would make a good trainer ( i will think on that one it means going to AUTan i'm not sure i want to work where i play). Rollsbygirl hows the training going? You are on count down now. What cossy did you end up with? I bet you are so excited and hungry for your fave foods now. How is your routine comming? Suns out time to turn up acdc and do some landscaping. Cheers
rollesbygirl
Hey Justy, wow you will have to keep us all posted on that news, sounds like you have a few things on the go, good on you. Yes three weeks to go, practicing as much as I can when I have the energy with the posing, have my bikini its hot pink! I just got home from evening cardi0o and bending the ear of my beloved with all the yummy chocolate and diisgusting fatty treats, am a bit scared I wont be able to stop so , pre planning doing September will keep me away from the fat farm. Training is still my fav part of it all now and for the first time in my entire life weight training I can actually see some muscle, its been eluding me under layers of lard, so very exciting to see whats been going on down under haha. Thats awesome your friend is going to compete, I reckon its a fantastic sport to take up when you are a bit older as you can defy the myth that you have to accept the rolls and age gracefully. I reckon I am in the best shape ever and can only see it improving. Is your plastic surgeon looking for any boob models I am happy to offer my services for free to model new boobs ! Currently have empty landscapes
justy1
Hi Rollsby,I will ask him about the boob modelling job for you I'm meeting him at middlemore on 5th April. Hot pink sounds good to me I'm jealous. I want a bright red one next comp. I have a purple one now i havent worn yet, just finished it a couple of days ago. Teri (thats the girl whos competeing with me next time) had her bc today i have only known her for just over a year now in that time she has gone from size 16 to size 12 and from 24% body fat to 14% so she is wrapped. She never used to eat much i taught her to eat and what to eat now she is loosing weight fast and eating more than twice as much as she used to. We do a chicken run when in whangarei, Its $29.99 kg up here and $9.99 down there so when one of us is passing though we buy up large and freeze it ready for our lunchs. I think you will be fine i took 2 days and tryed to eat what i wanted it made me feel sluggish, i was glad to get back to my healthy food i have gained 2kg since the comp but have only put on .5% body fat strange aye.Catch you later work hard and you are right working out is the best part of body building. rollesbygirl
Just wondering with some of you girls that have competed before..... I am down to two weeks out, and its hard with most of my workmates being rather unknowledgeable and constantly commenting on my smallness (although) I have not lost that much in my opinion..... I am really super super tired and struggling to get through work , and with training , cardio, posing practice, not much time left in the day, my latest thing is a weird metallic and heavy feeling in my mouth, very sleep when driving etc, two of the women at work have said that my symptoms are exactly the same as a severe iron deficiency, my long winded question is... has anybody else experienced this and is it likely just to be the final stages of dieting or more serious? Should I consider a blood test perhaps?
PT
It does sound pretty normal to me especially if you've really cut your carbs out this week? Maybe have a chat to whoever is doing your diet? It might just be as simple as having a higher carb day real soon to give you some more energy? Or maybe a nice piece of Salmon so you get some good fat into you?Sorry I can't explain the metallic taste - I'd say it would be a deficiency in something but when you're dieting unfortunatley you''re deficient in a few things!! including brain cells!!If you're really worried definatley have a chat to your doctor - you don't want to come down with anything so close to your comp! Are you taking vitamin C?Good Luck, take care
teamfatboy
I'd be thinking iron or B12 deficiency - worth talking to the GP or maybe a pharmacist, esp if your diet's light on red meat - if you're getting your protein from whey, eggs, chicken or fish, then maybe anaemia? PT's right - be a shame to spoil it this close - but dont let the workmates drag you off-focus tho!
virgo1978
Diet V twice a day should help.
Manu
Hey the weird metallic taste often happens in pregnant women, so probably likely that your body is craving for a particular mineral/vitamin.....either that or you're up the duff lol Are you taking a multi-vitamin? Getting so close to your comp it's pretty normal to feel completely knackered and fed-up with chicken and broccoli. If you are putting yourself in danger in anyway (ie, sleepy while driving), then maybe a bit of a check-up at the doctor might give you some peace of mind/solutions etc.
rollesbygirl
Thanks girls, yup can definitely rule out pregnancy ha ha, that area has been dieting too much to the dismay of Mr Partner! Mind you I reminded him that when he was competing, I was on slim pickings too!As far as cravings, I reckons thats my body imagining the silver metallic lining around the chocolate. :^o :^o :^o Yes I think I will have a check up if it doesnt resolve itself, seeing PT tommorrow so will see what her advice is, I am so close now its just a matter of hanging in there. justy1
I was a little tired from my diet, did some strange things to (a bit forgetful).Don't know what the strange taste is though. But once crackers and jam day came (High Carb Day) i was sweet. But mind you as i'm strict on what i eat anyway i only did the tough diet thing for 9 days and drank so much water than stuff all. I think a check up is a good idea too.I'm not on a diet now and i dont drink but i still ended up dancing on the table at our local pub last nite (and i dont have an excuse, they say i will try anything). I'm taking my daughter with me sky diving soon. Good luck keep us in formed.
rollesbygirl
Hi All, well the countdown is now on, this time next week will only be one more sleep, still dont feel ready, but hey perhaps you never do. I finished up at work tonight and have the week off which is going to be fabulous. I have been thinking these last couple of weeks of how wonderful it would be to have the luxury of no job or commitments and just being able to train eat and sleep, but I guess squeezing all this craziness into one jam packed day makes for an interesting life. So routine is sorted, still trying to perfect the poses but hey do you ever get them perfect? Just have to pluck the chook and we are good to go!
Kiwi
Good luck and hang in there.Everyone (just about!) seems to feel like crap in the final stages but the last week is often better as you have so much to focus on. Congratulations for making it through and not giving up despite all the obstacles in your way and demands on your time - work, family not to mention your own ability to cope with everything physically/mentally etc- it would be so easy to give up and many people would - but not you. Manu
Hey Rollesbygirl good luck for your comp! Nice that you have the week off work, should make things easier as that last week seems to fly by so quickly. I'll be at the Welly show on the same day slapping tan on people so I'll be thinking of ya
rollesbygirl
Thanks for the support girls, I think the Welly show will be awesome, I wish I had booked flights and done that show in hindsight, but hey it all good. Kiwi will we see you on the stage again this year? Good for you Manu helping, I loved that side of things and will be doing the same in September
Kiwi
Competing again? I haven't ruled it out. It has been a few years (4 or so) but I am eating clean and training. On the other hand your head and life have to be in the right place as well to compete. That's my view anyway. Right now, my studies come first, hence not competing, but this will change near the end of the year as they will finish up. So it depends at that stage if I have the urge, not to mention the ability to rid myself of some middle age spread - LOL. But in the meantime I am enjoying going to comps and supporting those that do - this weekend I will be at the Wellington event. It is a fascinating sport/activity and I love being part of it in some shape or form. You take care RollesbyGirl - have a great countdown week - and wish I was there to see you strut your stuff.
