I Declare War
bang_bang Can you still bench or is it really sore? Looks so far off to the side it must be at the insertion of the pec major on the humerus. Likely a partial tear so be real careful you don't rip the insertion right off. bang_bang
bang_bang
I haven't tried to bench again it's sore to touch but I can move in a full rom with no pain. Yup I won't bench for a bit then build it up slowly again. Not prepping for any meets so I can afford to give it plenty of time. DIANABOL
I'm in Australia for those who don't know, I didn't have private health insurance at the time of the injury so it would have cost me around 15,000 to have it repaired immediately. I've been referred to the Gold Coast Hospital but I'm still waiting to hear from them, tear occurred 5 months ago now. Progress wise I've been doing physio / massages and I'm on my way back. I can get 3 sets of 100kg / 10 reps on the bench which I guess is ok for this far out? When I do any type of chest exercise there is relatively low to zero pain or stiffness 75% of the time. It seems to just be my strength that is taking some time to come back.

Scar tissue is the main issue, he wants me to see him more but at $120 a pop once a week is enough for me.

aidangro
How's the pec feeling mate? I would defo recommend the old slingshot by Mark bell. Just used one for the first time the other day. I'm absolutely no expert. Or had a bad tear before. but the way the slingshot assists you is very impressive. it may well be one tool to help you towards recovery.
