Yeah was looking specifically at wrestling boots then saw these on website that also had wrestling boots. Theyre basically the same thing with real thin flat soles just higher top.

Im not very knowledgeable about shoes or PL but i thought it wouldn't really make much difference having the higher top? Like my steel cap work boots im pretty sure i could squat or deadlift without the high top being detrimentaly restrictive.

What do you think the issue eould be with these shoes Wookie? And would result be heel lifting off ground or not being able to get low enough because lower leg movement restricted?

I have no idea what the sole is like on boxing shoes. Wrestling its non-existent, almost a fabric sole. This is good cause it doesnt compress.

The boxing boot goes higher up the leg and therefore allows less ankle flexion. Might cause issues getting depth in squat.

Let me put it this way. I don't know anyone who uses boxing shoes for powerlifting. Many use wrestling shoes. They look similar but not the same.

Btw... want to buy boxing shoes... go right ahead.

Chucks are garbage as they compress like crazy under heavy weights.

Yeah bro some ppl seem to rate chucks then other ppl saying they fucking shit for the reason you said. Ill get some wrestling shoes i reckon. Maybe get these too and test them out as ive only got like 1 pair of shoes that doesnt have holes in it so could just wear them on odd occasion i bother with shoes which is basically casino or gym.

I've had wrestling and boxing shoes before. Found that the leather split sole wrestling shoes are really flat and when you tie them up they lock in really tight to your foot and dosent move around.  Depends if your squatting or just conventional  deadlifting in them. If Deadlifts those Adidas boot would be ok.

The boxing ones are harder to tie up tight and not get any lateral movement. They usually have a mesh upper material. Most of the Nike boots have a padded sole which caught me out when buying online too.

Agree with everything Wookie said in this thread - wrestling boots are amazing, Eastbay has 100s of pairs, took mine one sesh and got BG hooked on them, he got Nike ones and made the transition from raised squat shoes to his wrestling boots for squats and deads, I've recently done the same~ I think boxing ones are pretty similar in terms of low soles~ But have never worn them. They do however look fkn cool haha ;D

I copied BG too and love em, so really I have you to thank. Also from Eastbay.
