teamfatboy
Feel free to come along and watch - admission for spectators is Free.Entries for lifting have now closed - yes, it was a day early, but such was the demand that it filled up quicker than forecast. With the Auckland Powerlifting Association's comp on 7-8 November at Fitness Plus, Manukau (80 lifting in their Club Comp and 19 in their Record Breakers), and Canterbury Powerlifting Association putting on their Raw Cup on 28th November (Canterbury Sports Performance Centre, Wainoni Rd, Avondale), there's plenty of choice! teamfatboy
It was a big day - weigh-in for the light-weights began at 7am, last lift in the super-heavies was at 8:40pm... 79 lifters from every NZPF region - as well as lifters from across the Central Districts area, there was a good squad from Auckland, several from Waikato, and folks who'd travelled from Canterbury (Timaru) and Otago (Dunedin) to compete. Highlights included a 300kg equipped squat in the U105s, a 225kg equipped deadlift in the womens open U84s, and a 412.5kg raw total by a novice lifter in the womens' open O84kg class, including a 182.5kg deadlift. soundsgood and AuntMaud
