Mrman
Just finished bulk up to 110kg where I was doings out 7000 calories a week. Want to bring it down to 3000 todo carb cycling and cut. How quick should I drop the calories? Been told 500 a week. Was wondering if I could do 1000 per week? Endomorph kind of body type
HarryB
I generally say take 10 percent see what happens. Then keep reducing in 10 percent increments when your weight loss stalls. So for you that's 700 cal which would make quite a difference to your overall intake and should Kickstart some bf loss. Taking into account training and cardio.. if you are stable on 7000 per day and drop to 6300 then you should drop. If you lose half a kilo or more then keep cals the same if not then drop a further 10 percent. If you were gonna half your cals like it seems if your plan then sure you'll lose weight but you'll lose a lot of muscle and you'll feel pretty rubbish. Mrman
10% sounds like a good rule of thumb. I'll give it a go. worked damn hard to get this muscle. Want to do this in the most optimal way to keep as much as possible. HarryB
HarryB
Post your diet make a log... create accountability for yourself. Makes it easier to follow if you're putting some pressure on yourself. Pseudonym
Bruce Al
imo in the first week or 2 you could drop your cal much more than 10%.
