What is your salary/hourly rate?

And also are there any other ongoing benefits included in package, e.g. company car or free meat/weekly food allowance etc. And type of job/location/hours etc would be useful. Do you find the money adequate, and if not, why not?

Just curious as to what people get paid these days for their regular jobs (not including money made from selling gear).

Not troll thread, just was interested what everyone is getting for different jobs different places and what those jobs and locations are. I get $105k + $5k bonus +super phone/laptop etc. Supposed to get new hilux but hasnt happened yet so just bought older 97 model for personal use (best ones offroad anyway) and just use a company fuel card to fill up plus extra 100L in 20L fuel containers lol.

Hours are 60ish/week but I get every 5th week off. I consider myself underpaid, although the money is enough to cover what i consider to be reasonable personal expenses and for a starting salary its acceptable remuneration I guess.

Anyway chuck yours up br0s. Reasonablely anonymous forum..

I love how this site always finds ways to have a dick measuring contest *good*

Since June my pay hasn't been the greatest, though more than enough to live very comfortably on. However overall lifestyle and work enjoyment is the best it's ever been, wouldn't trade that for a $100k+ a year salary being trapped in an office 50+ hours a week.

Money is generally better in australia than in nz. For what I do its usually worse money in the bigger australian cities as theyre more popular places to live. Suits me fine as I prefer living near to places with around 100,000-200,000 people as its big enough to have everything you need and enough people but not a shit hole you end up trapped in with major traffic problems

Apparantly IT is good industry to get into even in nz (well it was anyway, unsure if it still is). f*ck that tho unless you massive nerd

IT technical work isnt great which is what i started out doing.

gets good once you get into project management/management/solutions/sales etc same as any field make more managing/selling shit than you do actually making or fixing it. eg I wouldnt have a clue how to fix most computer problems and cbf anyway thats what the outsource philipinos are for

its legit once you find a specialisation or industry and work your way up from there

I would rather get paid 50% of what I get now and work 50% as much

This!

my pay is pretty good at 150k plus bonus, insurance, phone, car park, gym, etc but no overtime pay. The key thing is work life balance. I do be about 40hrs work across the week but pretty flexible re timing. Can usually fit in training sessions where it suits, play golf etc.
