Trying to build strength log

Question? One of my goals is to lose fat as well,is 5x5 should be ok?   

The program you choose in the gym has nothing to do with fat loss. You can lose fat without going to the gym or exercising at all. Weight gain or weight loss is all about the diet. Going to the gym and exercising stimulates muscular development and prevents muscle loss when cutting down.

 

BTW why have you put your log in the introductions forum?

This morning i wanted to do another train..seeing im not not that strong yet i figured it wouldn`t hurt.

Homemade preworkout..redbull 250ml, tblspoon coffee, 5g creatine.

Barx20

60kgx5, 80x5, bit of stretch...92.5kgx5..i wanted to see if i could do a 120x1 only. (1st time i even tried)..went down alright but comming up a little slow....92.5x4x5

OHP 40x1 50x4 of 5 reps..last set a bit hard, but kept good form

DL..60x10   110 x2 set of 4.. 160x1(pb)..175x0 red card lol

Just my log for yesterday..as I was stuffed after I trained definatly still getting over the weekend..

Squat...barx20..60x10..110x3..110x3..110x2..110x2

95x5..4sets..

Bench..barx20..60x10..80x8..95x5 reps..95x4reps..95x1..95x1..dropped down to 90x3 reps..90x2 reps..3min rest 90x5..

Bb rows..70x5..75x5..80x5..85x3..85x2..dropped back down to 80 because form started getting sloppy..80x3..80x3..

TGIF!!...Back squat 60x5...100x5 set of 5..i really seemed to have got through these fairly easy, with fairley short rest in between,except the last 3reps on the  5th set were a grind. but overall.pretty happy.

             Bench 70kg x5...  97.5x5 set of 5....set 4and 5 i had to 3rep it and bit of a rest then 2 reps..still weak as f*ck there..but i trust this will improve with consistencey and slight increment increases...over time

             Bar rows 75kg 5x5...Hopefully a mate of mine might call over home tommorow and we can work out together...actually want to test out 1rm on the bench just to see where im at...peace..

Couldnt wait plus ill be busy later on so got it done this morning.

Lower body feeling ok so far, no niggles/aches/pains etc with the work of been putting in this week...thus far.

Back Squat 70x6...102.5x5 set of 5

OHP 50x5 set of 5...set 4 and 5 were grinders but kept good form..My theory is cos i feel im weak on this it has a direct correlation to my bench strength.

Dead 165x1..crackup though cos all my plates combined only goes up to 175...so better start saving for more weight.

This Morning..

Back Squat...bar warmup, stretch x20

                                          60x5, 80x5,....110x5 set of 5...on the last set i was pretty gassed, rest in between sets 3mins..

                                           Bench  bar x10, 60x5.. 80x5...100x3 st of 2..100x2reps

                                           BB rows 80x5 set of 5

Bench barx20,..60kgx10....80x5...100x3 set of 2, 100x3 set of 2,...100x5 last two reps very slow...100x5..last two reps very slow..105x2.very slow just going up..

OHP bar only heaps.

Rows...20kg ezigrip platesx20 each arm.

Havnt Done any squats for a week,,lowerback a little sore even when i went for a run i had to wear a belt. been on holiday the last week, now im back to work, good to get back to some kind of routine. Hopefully kick off sl5x5 once my back comes right, doin lots of foam rolls etc etc, im happy so far with bench i feel ive made good gains in strength so far...

Squat barx10, 60x10, 80x1(front squat), 80x5 back squat, 100x5,110x3, 120x1.

B B Rows, 60x5, 80x5 set of 5.

DL 120x2, 140x2, 150x1, 160x1, 180x0.

Yesterday log, trained with a mate but he had to gap it halfway through, he did apologise though.

pull ups, ss with bb rows to failure.

bb curls 5 sets of 5.

21s bar only 4 sets. then my mate went home.So i carried on

Good Mornings 60x5x5..felt my lower back and legs get a good pump left it at that.

Ohp 60x3set of 5

DL 140x3, tried a 160 but no go. 120x3.. was gonna work up to a 160, and a 180 i know i can get 1x180.. arms wre just gone.. Cheers peeps
