Cameron_R
If you only had access to a small supermarket (think New World Metro), no resturants, and nothing to cook with (ie no stove, no oven, no microwave), what would you buy to try and maintain a high protien diet? You can get those sealed packets of cubed/shredded chicken breast, or sliced roast beef, etc. Some of them are flavoured too.http://shop.countdown.co.nz/Shop/Browse/deli-chilled-foods/cold-cutsOr go for a vaccum-packed smoked salmon fillet, and throw it into a salad. PainFades
1/2 a Tegel "Meal Maker" tub with 1/2 tub of cottage cheese. IMO the easiest tasty high protein (75g) meal around. Add carbs to suit your macro plan...
Cameron_R
Thanks for the ideas everyone. At the moment I'm travelling for work every week. Normally it's managable; one night away (2 days). But every now and then shit happens and I have to stay for 4/5 days unplanned. The hotels we use don't have anything other than a mini bar fridge. I can't really stock up on things like peanut butter, or anything that I'm not going to eat in the planned 2 days - otherwise it is a waste and gets thrown out.Half a rotisserie chicken, a small bag of pre-chopped veg and an apple or banana for dinner 3 nights in a row gets damn boring. Pseudonym
On the 3rd night, you could probably treat yourself and get Subway or Nandos or something. I think that would be allowed.
Polo
edit my bad for not reading post properly!, you could always buy a bunch of cooked chickens and an order a whole heap of stirfry veges from a restaurant. Fruit/nuts etc I prep my meals on days off, normally crumbed baked chicken strips, pasta bakes, risottos, broc/kumara. Fruits, nuts etc and I shop I'n town Get some takeaway containers and have a big cook up 1ce a weekCook veg and put it in containers with a few chicken strips for morning lunch pasta bakes/risotto for lunch nuts, fruit and milk for a mid day snack before gym Then i normally have porridge/muesli for breakfast and some dinner after gym plenty of other things you can make that's cheap but there my favourites. Also eggs are cheap so you could make like a frittata with kumara, brocolli and spinach in it
