Pseudonym
Those of you who work/worked in supermarkets, answer me this:On the supermarket meat packs of steak, chook tits, etc, I notice they've started adding codes. So the label on a pack of steak now reads "RUMP STEAK - T1107", or something like that. But right beside it is an identical looking steak called "RUMP STEAK - T1005". So what's the difference? Is it fresh/frozen, or NZ/Aussie?I presume this code represents some useful piece of information. But what?

crazyfacials
I worked at foodtown way back in the days (14-15 years ago) ...from memory the T number was the code we'd push into the scale so we can print out the sticker for the item/price per KG
