maccaz
so this happened on sunday deadliftingsecond set @ 120, no belt but not too heavy for me so form was good. got to the top of like rep 8 and felt a groaning kind of feeling in my right glute, lost strength straight away so dropped it but not much pain, but i knew somethnig was fckd.there wasnt much pain just tightness in glute/lower back rest of that day next day crazy pain in glute where it meets lower back on that side, sore inner thigh/groind and random shooting pains down to my hamstring/kneedoctor said "probably pulled something" gave me some painkillers pain is probably the worst as far as injuries i've had, and certain things make it worseif i walk around for a while it gets a lot better, but soon as i sit down for a bit then stand again its really bad again. its getting slowly better day by day, but still really uncomfortable, reckon i need a second opinion or should it just fix itself? hoping its not spine as its pretty focussed to one side, right side lower back, glute, hamstring
nate225
If its a muscle tear you'd expect to see some pooling of blood (bruising look) in the hammy/calf area I'd suspect? (gravity drops it there!).Otherwise possible injury around SI joint. Probably worth going to a decent physio to get assessed?
