GyzzBrah
Decent workout today, felt a bit weak but what ya expect to get with a lung infection..Benched 75 for single (wanted to get triple)Ohp'd 55 for singleDid a few rows, pullups. Couldn't go heavier on rows bc I was sharing barbellCurled 37.5 for 6x4Tricep pushdown 5 x 8 decent pumpCG Press 5x5 50 kgNote: Excercises not done in listed order. Inb4...Altogether workout went OK, getting to my goals pretty steady. 4 more training days this week, then time for a deload.BUT WAIT !!! I don't actually have no clue what to actually do during a deload week. Judging by my current programing, what should I do for my deload? Just speed / technique work, pause work idk. If any powerlifter reads this, feel free to comment and give advice
Spacebound
A deload is just an active recovery. Do the big compounds and some assistance but with less volume/less weight. Use full ROM and stretch out the muscles. Also focus on form and control.Dont go to crazy as it's not supposed to be hard
FellowshipOfTheRon
i too was also a tidy kiwi during high school and smashed many a box before dumping, leaving them drowning in left over juices
GyzzBrah
Since Im at home today, gonna have an interesting take on today's workout.Gonna go now, and do my squats and deadlifts, then come back in the evening and do accessory work. Probably will help me focus much more. Will see how this goes, then I will probably consider training like this on weekends.

Terrymundo
AZIDE probably went to Nayland College, renowned for its sloots. Or prehaps Waimea because hes not on meth/weed/crack like 90percent of Naylands former students. yeah waimea i went to nelson boiz. was good that there were no boxes to smash so I could focus on my study and I ended up getting a degree and not having to make child support payments. AZIDE
i think ive got a degree lying around at home somewhere. its basically a bit of paper that tells people youre not retarded so you can pay you to show up at some form of office occasionally and spend most of the day trolling the internet isnt it? as opposed to working in the 'fitness industry' sucking dicks of others in the 'fitness industry' or actually having to do real work

I used to do nothing in my job and still hit all my targets without having to suck one dick. Talking about the fitness industry (potential new thread here):From what I see on FB, the whole industry us fucked, seriously! I am going to stay out if it. The amount of BS, politics, being in the "in" crowd, and sneaky antics is ridiculus. "follow my page, buy my shirt, buy my supps, then buy my drugs" So many money grubbing egos that can't see past the length of their nose. Don't get me wrong there great people on the scene but seriously some people need to check themselves
GyzzBrah
Im only not at school because their doing this stupid religious thing all day, so there's no school work im missing, Azide. As far as the double split is concerned, Im not working harder than I normaly would, neither have I increased the volume. It's just so I can have a longer break for my accessory work, so rather than doing Heavy Squats, Deadlifts for an hour or so, and then spending another hour and half doing heavy accessory work, I can do my big lifts in the morning, and then do my accessory work later in the day. If anything, I can recover faster this way.

If any powerlifter reads this, feel free to comment and give advice Deload you usually carry on with your lifts but do around 50% of max and not to failure. You could carry on with light accessory stuff if its rotator cuffs etc. But you're supposed to be having a break/rest so dont go hard. You can also focus on any mobility stuff you want to address or try out some cardio stuff and see what works for you if you're looking to add some in to your program. GyzzBrah
Haven't trained in over a week now, as Im having a few issues in my personal life and Im a bit fucked in the head at the moment. Keeping it together and listening to a f*ck ton of Suicide Silence (pretty sick band). Hopefully everything will turn out ok for me soon.Just a quick update on stats:Lost a few kg's since iv'e been eating fewer than 2000 calories for over a month nowLost a bit of strength, but nothing I can't bounce back from in a couple of weeksAfter I finished my second meso, I deadlifted 130 x 3, benched 75 for 1 (wanted a triple) ohp'd 55 kg's, and squated 85 for 1 (also aimed for tripple)Generally not as good as Im aiming for but getting there still. Gotten less than 5 hours of sleep in the past month or so.

GyzzBrah
30 June, 2014.On the positive side, all this shit is gonna give me some good content for me to chronicle in my training log.Spoken to a few people about this and mentioned it a few times on the forums, but for those of you who don't know yet.I was recently diagnosed with having drastically low testosterone (6.5), free test not detected. Been speaking to my doc over a couple of sessions, and we agree that a lot of things I have been experiencing over the last few months could be a result of this.To be honest my life was always a bit fucked, but it's recently gotten way worse. Some of the things Im feeling: Cant sleep at night, Suicidal / Strange thoughts and voices, Can't eat much food as I should be (fewer than 2000 cal's), Depression, Depersonalisation, Social / Sexual Anxiety, Lack of confidence to talk to girls / people / go to school, and worst of all, I got no fucking energy to do anything at all, hence I've not been consistent with the gym. I felt a few of these symptoms all my life, but now it's pretty bad. This could also explain my innability to make friends ealier in life, as well as my ability to put off any girl I come into contact with.Im going to see an endo called Carl Eagleton in epsom this wednesday, most of you on the forums would be familiar with him I suppose. If anybody (nate225 etc) could give me advice on who this dude is, what his perspective / views on steroid / TRT use are, that would be of great help.^This part is especially important, It would help to know if he is an advocate of steroid use in general, or wether he would be open minded discussing about putting me on TRT. (he probably will be, since that's the reason why I need to see him in the first place)
Pseudonym
I don't know who Carl Eagleton is, but I presume he's a specialist endocrinologist? If you've had all the tests showing you've got low testosterone, and you've got a referral from you GP, I don't think you need to hide anything. Just be straight up, and tell him how low test is affecting you.I wouldn't start talking about using steroids, but there's no reason to pretend you don't go to them gym.And actually, until you're in a better place mentally, running a cycle for bodybuilding purposes is the last thing you should be doing. Seriously... fluctuating hormones will screw with your mind at the best of times - and if you're not in a good place to start with, it will really fuck you over. Get yourself stable first. Cameron_R
Try to keep an open mind. Don't go into any Dr appointment expecting or wanting a certain outcome (eg TRT). Maybe your google based self diagnosis is wrong. Maybe it's right. Just don't expect a Dr with decades of study and experience to have the same opinion as you. A little bit OTT? lol i dunno, not trying to be a smartass i realise it's a serious thing that affects some people. just trying to be supportive man, i think the message was =in there somewhere gave off those kind of vibes but if not, no harm done.. best way to approach the subject is always head on anyway. good luck on your clincal visit. if you're right that would certainly explain a lot. just don't have any expectations or reservations and you'll be fine. GyzzBrah
Just saw Carl Eagleton on wednesday he was annoying. Got another blood test this morning, their gonna test for Adrenaline, E2, HCG, LH, FSH, Test, GnRH, Cortisol and a few other things.Tbh, I don't get what the whole fuss is about. Why is it that someone wanting a sex change, or a middle age person with declining testosterone can easily get TRT prescribed, even though it's perfectly normal to have lower test as you get older. But when a teenager like me who lifts and has test below the normal range, suddenly all the doctors kick up a fuss about it, even though my test should be at or above the normal range. I don't think it's fair to deny a teenager their livlehood over stupid FUCKING politics.4 July, 2014.Squatted 80 x 5 and Deadlifted 130 x 5. Suprisingly, my main lifts have actually gone up despite not training for a few weeks. Probably a rebound effect from giving my nervous system a break I guess.5 July, 2014.Low test or no test, I can't just quit my training. f*ck being a pussy and waiting for doctors to make up their mind. Iv'e decided to run a smolov jr program to make the most of these holidays. I'll be running both the squat and bench program together. A friend of mine did it and he says recoverey is fine so idc too much, it's only 3 weeks then a week off. Iv'e done smolov jr bench before, with great success.Aiming to bench 90 + and 100 + for squats after smolov. This should make my end of year goals a lot faster than without smolov. Wonder if my deadlift will go up too.
