My Progress towards my First comp

Had a great weekend, Placed 2nd in Novice Physique Tall. Felt a little hard done by as i easily had the guy who placed 1st on conditioning however he had me on upper body mass and the judges went with the size. Fuel to the fire.. I am competing in two weeks at Nabba  Hawkes Bay champs... I will bring next level conditioning to this.

Yeah I sort of lost a bit of upper body fullness over the last week but at the same time my hams and flutes came in much better so I feel I was worth it. Yup I have had an EPIC refeed day and put on a ton of water and glycogen. Straight back at it now harder than ever for Hawkes bay. No stone left unturned. I can't put on much but I will bring my conditioning in and aim to be crazy shredded on stage

Yeah I went to Uni and Partied with the Old boy. Always had the "you're big but ive got abs" banter between us. Guess whos got the Last laugh haha

Hey Bambam hows things going nearly into that last week prep again hope you are feeling good!

Feel great, had a huge week training, the rebound water and glycogen did its job and helped me step it up and has finally gone. 

 

Heres a giant set from a leg training session this week

Just trying to bring out every bit of conditioning i can

Jeeeez man, that looked painful!

How did that giant set fit into the rest of the workout? I presume you did more work on top of that?

The Workout was basically an hour worth of these. I think 4-5 sets as each took so long to complete and recover from.

So Hawkes Bay Champs has been and gone. Great show, had a great time and the level of competition was great. I placed 3rd and TBH I think its a much better placing than my 2nd at Waikato due to my class being much stronger. I got my ass well and truely handed to me by the winner of my class ephraim. He has a huge future ahead of him and a really nice guy to boot. Anyway attached are some photos from the show. Overall I am really happy with the progress I made in the 2 weeks between the shows, Leaner, dryer and far fuller than Waikato.

I've just been comparing the pics from each comp. Photos never really do justice to those little conditioning differences, but despite that, I reckon your legs and delts look visibly fully in this set.

So what changes did Bobsta make to get that rapid improvement?

I think it was a combination of things. We lowered the Macros slightly again over those 2 weeks, added some HITT sessions, took away anything artificial (shakes, pre workout, anything with sweetners in). Also Carbed up slightly different, depleted for longer and carbed up slightly latter and ran through til comp day. Overall Im happy with the package I brought to the stage for the second show. I need more size for my frame but happy with overall proportions.

Sure did, hahaha unfortunately my fiance isnt quite as keen. Goal is to stay lean and try slowly put on a couple of kg over the next 6month then evaluate. Getting Married in January so apparently that has to be my goal for the time being. I have to say my entire experience has been great, both shows were really well run, everyone I have meet has been extremely nice. Will 100% do more shows in the future.
