Check this dude out.. Yep, copied from another site..

"My GP doesn’t understand why I’m on TRT.

Most people don’t understand why I do it and they see it as either cheating nature or risking my health for aesthetic reasons, but when I take a step back, I’m glad they don’t understand. I’m thankful that they have never experienced the feeling of losing all glimmers of hope or the feeling of fear when you realize tomorrow will feel exactly the same as today.

I’ve been in some very dark places. I’ve experienced what 8 years of depression feels like. I’ve experienced what it feels like to go to the doctor, beg him for help, and have him hand you a waiver that says if you kill myself he’s not responsible, write you script for an anti-depressant, and advise you to pray.

I began TRT in November of 2012. I didn’t start because I was looking for a short cut. It started because I was looking for a way to live. I wanted to be eager for life. I wanted to want to make love to my wife. I wanted to feel progression.

I’m not the same guy I was 8 months ago. Without a doubt, my body has changed. I’ve gained 16 lbs. I’ve become more muscular, and I’m lifting weights that haven’t been within the realm of possibility since I was 18. It not just physical youth that TRT gives you, though. It gives you spirit.
Those who don’t understand TRT have never truly had their spirit broken; so they can never understand how good it feels when it’s finally mended. They don’t understand what it’s like be on TRT and enjoy your music loud, your weights heavy, be a walking erection, and be proud of the man you’ve become.

My GP recommends ceasing my TRT. f*ck him. The lucky bastard doesn’t understand.

His sole rationale for advising that I cease therapy was that his office didn’t subscribe to eastern medicine and , in so many words, feeling like shit was part of getting older. I think that’s the only argument he could make. Since starting TRT, my I’ve lowered cholesterol and kept my BP within reasonable limits and stopped taking anti-depressants and cialis. The irony is that since I’ve stopped taking the meds he has prescribed, my liver and kidney values have finally fallen into the “normal” range. My blood work is better now that it was before treatment. He’s just hung up on the T number. Truth be told, I’ve been healthier since starting treatment than I was under his care, not to mention feel better"

My doc said he has a new patient who is lethargic and is generally feeling like crap.

His testosterone levels came back at 3 nmol / L. Doc said he wants to put him on TRT... So he sent his patient off to see an endo. Endo is refusing to put him on TRT..

Doc wont do it with out Endo's ok....   Poor bastard!

A referral needs to be made to another endo ASAP.

Have you considered that the guy might have other conditions that could be aggravated by the use of TRT? Maybe the endo has a legitimate reason for not prescribing TRT for that particular person. He may have high levels of PSA or have pre-existing prostate problems. He may have a bad lipid profile or high blood pressure, or maybe he has a heart condition.

It would be irresponsible of the endo to give him medication that could potentially worsen his health and would leave the endo liable for prosecution.

yes of course I have considered that..  My doctor said and I think Im quoting him word for word "I think he should be on TRT"

Now the doctor will have spoken to the endo. The endo will have given the doctor his findings. There was obviously nothing in the result from the endo that has swayed the doctor from wanting to put this guy on TRT..

I have seen many decisions from doctors and specialists over the years to know some of them are just idiots.  Sure there are plenty that are very good at what they do but there are plenty of nutters out there amongst them and I speak from experience.  Like the idiot that gave me a coritzone injection in my wrist when I told him I had a sore shoulder.

Like the idiot that wanted to cut out my thyroid even though I only had a thyroid virus.

Idiots like Aucklands so called top allergy speciliast, who I went to with dairy allergies. He said it was all in my head and put me on prozac.. I eventually proved it was dairy allergies by simply not eating for a few days and all the symptoms went away.

And these are just some of the bad decisions I have seen from doctors.

I have a good friend die of cancer just because her doctor refused  to get her a CT - PET Scan and that was over a 4 year period of seeing him. She finally paid for it herself by then it was way too late.

Unfortunately, just because some one is highly educated, doesnt mean they have logic, common sense, or ethics.

I am interested to hear why people think they know better then doctors and specialists..? If some dickhead that had no training in my line of work tryed to tell me what I said was bullshit I would be pissed off. They are not out to get you/make your life harder. Maybe the reason you cant understand his reasons is the difference between your knowledge ending at google vs his years of training/experiance in the field...

so why do you dismiss the doctors years of training?  Endo would have to send the Doctor reasons why his request to put this guy on TRT was turned down, and yet the doctor still thinks this guy needs to be on TRT regardless of what endo says...   So its not me that thinks this guy should be on TRT.. It was my doc that states he thought the guy should be on TRT..

There is a whole website area dedicated to poor doctors decisions when it comes to TRT.. They have worked out their own needs because they are tired of bad decisions from endo's and doctors surrounding the area of TRT.. One has even gone as far as studied endocrinology himself to sort out their own issues.. There is only one reason the site exists. Because there is a need for it.

depends on the doctor really. i went to a doctor and was getting blood tests and she refused to tick the boxes for FSH and LH claiming that 'theyre just for women'. I had told her that it was because i had been taking steroids and wanted it checked. from everything that was said it was very clear to me that she knew little about AAS and their effects/interactions on the endocrine system.

in reality many doctors know f*ck all about AAS and i can understand why as its only a small aspect of medicine and not a hugely common thing for a GP to deal with.

i would suggest that your friend or whatever he is find a doctor more knowlegable in this area, or simply buy some test himself and start injecting. for 10 years of 100mg/week test youre looking at <$300 (for test, solvents, filters, vials etc). instead of making forums and whining about doctors people should just source their own test and inject it themselves if they feel so strongly about it. 60c per week...

would be interesting to know what the reasons the endocrinologist refused to endorse the prescription.
