Disturbed99 Posted June 7, 2012 Report Share Posted June 7, 2012 Does anyone else swim for cardio? I find it really good on a weekend to do a half an hour session on lane swimming to mix things up. I find it really good for strengthen my shoulders (I have weak shoulders) which in turn helps my training in the gym. karm015 Posted May 1, 2013 Report Share Posted May 1, 2013 i love itit serves two purposes for me - cardio and a sort of meditation. i'm mostly a runner, so its great cross training, tootbh a few full length laps in the pool is pretty damn hard sometimes, especially after riding 30 miles to/from work. i know some folks out there find it as easy as anything, but i find swimming to be hard enough to work just fine as a standalone workout Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
