Old Bull Posted March 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2012 Hi All,Attached are the Flyers and Forms for this years CD Champs, also the lifters list.There is quiet a big field this year with a staggering 10 ladies entered, with 44 lifters and we are missing a few of our experienced lifters as you will see there is only one SHW. There will be no sponsorship of prizes at this years CDs, we are saving that for The National Bench in August,it is a bit hard getting our sponsors to do 3 comps in a year. So we can all make up for it at theALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET. Old Bull Posted March 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 20, 2012 Results CDPA Powerlifting Champs 2012HI All,Finally have the results up for the CDPA 3 Lift Powerlifting Champs held on Saturday 17th March.A Big field for the CDs 45 lifters the biggest yet for the last 10 years. 11 Female lifters which is pretty awesome, also 13 in the Classic Section. We decided the Classic, should have its own section, and not be spread out through the other 4 flights. This makes it stand out and should be recognised in its own right, and not be diminished, included with the Equipped lifting.32 lifters in the Equipped section, I have separated the Equipped section into Equipped and those that lift RAW Soft Suit Knee Wraps. this is a CDs thing. Just to let people know who is fully equipped and who is not.We started at 7.30am and were finished by 4.30 pm with a 20 minute break for lunch. This was due to the SPEED TEAM our spotters, big ups to these guys. Our Spotter loaders are some of the fastest around, and we had 3 new members so we had a test run the night before. The times got quicker and quicker as we worked hard on being efficient. This is the key to a good comp the Spotter Loaders, the comp can drag on or be a great success which it was.A few Junior and open novice lifters competed, one Novice the the CD Regionals, they all enjoyed themselves. There were good battles in the 93s with the El Presidente totalling 735kg and especially in the 105s with Drizzt totalling 685 at 102.5kgs. Another junior to watch out for is Brett Gibbs Totalled 692.5 at 81.5kgs 21 years old.Not to sure what was going on with the House Lifters but we had 2 Bomb :doh: :doh: Highlights:Tasha 130kg Squat at 71kgs and 382.5kg total Classic.Joel Hintz 15years old 200kg Squat and 210kg Deadlift ClassicHJP at 89 227.5 Squat and 622.5 Total ClassicThe Beast 757.5kgs Classic Total, nad the 305 Dead its about time too.Brett junior 81kgs pretty close with a 200kg Bench that will fall this year.Drizzt grinds out a 280 SquatThe Doc 182.5kg DeadLift and 1000lb ClubThe Ice Man trying to do a Costa with 212kgsQuigley's longest deadlift record nearly got broken againDrizzt grinds out a 280 SquatDamon 200kg Raw Bench, and pretty close on the 300 SquatTim Hintz Speed Squat at 280kgs caught by the Spotters.No missed catches with the Spotters and finally the The Bruise Bros, Tyler and MT for there efforts in doing the Lifting For The Kids. Well done guys awesome effort and a really good cause makes the House Proud :clap: :clap: and a lot more other things happening that I will remember as the week goes on. Lot's of work goes in behind the scenes, as you know to make these comps run smoothly, this attracts the good lifters, and this gets us the spectator support.applause ... some really good numbers in there ... well-done all! :clap:Cheers Opti, some good hit outs for the first comp of the year for most of them.
