steak Posted March 14, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 14, 2012 The BSC K-OS ON THE COAST - POWERLIFTING OPENDate: Saturday April 28thVenue: Coast Barbell Club (Unit 4 / 41 Davis Sidwell Place, Whangaparaoa)Times: Weigh in and gear check at 7amLifting Starts:9amLifting will be held in 2 sessions.Lifters numbers ideally capped again this year to 28 - get in quick!(If demand is strong again we will run a 3rd short flight)There will be 2 divisions:1 Raw - belt and knee wraps allowed (belt must not be padded)2. Equipped - if you use equipment (squat suit, bench shirt or deadlift suit) in any lift you are deemed to be equipped. Only single ply will be accepted.Entry fee: $20 and includes sausage sizzle and cake bar :grin: This is an unsanctioned competition.There will be no drug testing or over zealous rules regarding branding or logos.Lifters will be expected to lift to IPF standards ie:Squat to depth - Crease of hip below top of kneePause the bench with head, butt and feet flat.No hitching in the deadlift.A full lifters brief will held prior to lifting.Lifters will be required to lift in shorts, tee shirt and long socks for the deadlift or alternatively a soft suit. You may wear boxer style briefs as under garments.If there is demand, an event Tee Shirt will be printed so when registering please advise if you would be interested ($30) and what size you would like.Register in this thread or PM me through this site.In the past this event has been a lot of fun with some exceptional talent coming through.
