Crossfit Weekly Training Plan?

Hi, just wondering if anyone could please point me in the direction of a weekly training schedule the top Crossfitters in the world might use to plan their training by ie how they break up their training on a day by day, week by week basis (bearing in mind they dont necessarily know what they will come up against in competition)...Im not after random workouts here.... something a little more structured if possible please to go by...

After a basic structure to put together a training plan that will cover most bases bearing in mind no access to a specialised Crossfit facility and having to do most training at an ordinary gym etc.

Thanks for your help

This is a more complex question than it might appear. The simple answer is

1. Practice skills,

2. Lift weights, and

3. Do short anaerobic conditioning workouts

Preferably doing the above in that order, and as frequently as you can handle without getting injured.

A real (meaning useful) answer would take work.

Ok so a good balance of all three then, so am I right in thinking

2-3 xfit sessions per week would take care of 1. and 3.

2-3 resistance training sessions per week would take care of 2.

2-3 various sprint sessions would take care of 3.

Now, the next question is what sort of set/rep ranges do crossfitters normally train - does the crossfit itself take care of the higher rep stuff and therefore more strength based lifting in a conventional gym setting?

And further, what sort of periodisation should be employed for the lifting weights component in the gym?

Thanks

For those interested, my original question largely answered here:

Still keen to hear answer re sets and reps - I have read somewhere that any more than 10 rep sets (in the conventional gym sense of weight training) rarely used and predominantly 5x5, 531 schemes to build power....

That's a good article. Cheers.
