Cammo
This stuff is grouse!!!It takes a bit of fluffing around but is better than anything on the shelves at the foodmarket.I just spent this morning making a batch - it's addictive. You'll need:6 cups whole oatshalf cup lite canola oilhalf cup honey1 heaped tspoon cinnamin1 heaped tspoon mixed spicehalf cup walnutshalf cup sunflower seedshalf cup pumpkin seedshalf cup almondshalf cup brazil nuts1 cup dried apricot pieces (chopped up)1 cup raisons or sultanas1 cup dried mango pieces (chopped up)Put the oil, honey, mixed spice & cinnamin in a large pot and melt on the stove top - place the oats in and mix.Put the sunflower & pumpkin seeds into a pan and heat - the seeds will start to pop.........keep stirring around so they don't burn & take off the heat when browned.Mix the rest of the nuts with the oats and place in an oven dish.Cover this mixture with the sunflower & pumpkin seeds & put in the oven for about 15-20mins on a heat suitable for baking.Pull it out & mix it around - put it back in for another 5-10mins (keep an eye on it). You'll have to do this 4-5 times to make sure that most of the muesli gets toasted.Take it out for the final time & mix the apricots, sultanas & mango bits up in it. Let it cool down & store it.
